Manchester is a city that has a lot to offer when it comes to entertainment; including, shopping, theatre, fantastic food and drink, music concerts and also comedy events. Whether it is family fun you are looking for or just a good day out with your mates, there is something to suit everyone and also any budget.

Museums and Attractions

There are many great museums you can visit in Manchester. The Museum of Science and Industry, The Manchester Museum, The Imperial War Museum North and The People’s History Museum are but to name a few. No matter what you are interested in, you are bound to find a museum to suit your tastes.

Other fabulous must see attractions include, the Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester Cathedral and also the newly opened Sea Life Centre. In addition to these there are stadium tours available at both Manchester United and Manchester City’s football grounds.

Shopping

Manchester is renowned for its shops. The Trafford Centre is situated five miles outside the city centre, with visitors having the choice of around 230 stores. The stores range from designer and high-fashion outlets to the more affordable favourite high street names.

If you are looking for more independent retailers, Manchester’s North Quarter is a must see. It is the creative centre of Manchester and is home to many independent fashion stores, record shops, bars and restaurants.

It is also well worth a visit to Manchester’s Craft and Design Centre, it is home to an array of artist-run studios which offer the best in local design, jewellery, bags and also accessories.

On the other hand if you are looking for something to do in an evening, why not visit one of the many theatres that Manchester is home too. If a night at the theatre is not really your thing, then how about popping to one of Manchester’s many comedy clubs or music events that are held through out the year. Many big names play across the city at its various venues including, Lee Evans, Jack Whitehall, Bruno Mars and also Jessie Jay are but to name a few.

For an evening out with a different twist why not try The Manchester Opera house or even The Route 66 Drive in Cinema, both are well worth a visit. In addition to this, it is always worth looking what’s on at The Manchester Evening News Arena. This fantastic arena is a very popular venue for a variety of live performances, from the likes of Elton John and the Spice Girls to wrestling competitions and also ballet.
