Where? When?
Building an itinerary is tough process. There are so many things to think about. Where do you (both) want to go? What time do you have available? When is the best time to be where? How can the money be best stretched? I wrote about our process here.
It took a while, but we managed to rough out a high level itinerary:
- South America (Peru, Chile, Argentina) - June, July, August 2009
- Germany - Sept 2009
- Turkey -Oct 2009
- India (primarily the north) - Nov, Dec 2009
- SE Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia) - Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr 2010
- Japan - May 2010
We’re working on more detailed itineraries - again, they will be rough sketches as we want to be able to take advantage of learning as we go, talking to people, and seeing how we feel.
