Who?

So…there we are - yep, that’s us.  Gillian and Jason from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  

But who are we really?

We are a 40 year old couple who have decided to step out and look for the opportunity that has not come knocking on our door, despite our patiently waiting for it!!

We will, in June 2009, set off for a one year journey ‘around the world’.  

We are selling our house and car, putting our possessions in storage, taking LOA’s from our jobs (hopefully), and heading out to experience the things that, up until now, we only dreamed about.  

We have some great examples to draw from.  People who have faced many adventures in many forms…parents that immigrated here with 2 children and 4 suitcases (is that right Mom?), parents that moved around plenty to support us, friends who have traveled extensively…and of whom I have always been envious, and others who have stepped up and faced personal journeys with grace and courage and make me realize how very lucky I am.  

It’s time to make our own adventures, and to contribute to the stories.
