Renowned for its hot weather and stunning scenery, you might also be surprised to learn that Cyprus also boasts its fair share of beer festivals – after all, a refreshing beer and sunshine just go so well together! Here are our favourite beer festivals to enjoy on summer holidays to Cyprus.

Limassol Beer Festival, July

As the weather starts to really heat up in Cyprus, cool down at the Limassol Beer Festival held every July on the Molos promenade. This KEO beer-sponsored event runs for three days, and showcases the best brews from around Cyprus and beyond, plus great activities and entertainment for all the family to enjoy. However if beer isn’t your beverage of choice, don’t forget that the Limassol Wine Festival takes place just a couple of months later in September – a great opportunity to sample the best of Cypriot wine.

Geroskipou Beer Festival, August

At the Geroskipou Beer Festival think music, dance, fire shows and acrobatics – plus plenty of delicious beer. This festival runs for five days with a packed schedule of events on each day, and DJs and live acts keeping the crowds entertained until late into the evening. As for the beers, there are always around 40 different types on offer, so you might need the full five days for a chance to sample them all!

Nicosia Beer Festival, September

Dubbed ‘Septemberfest’, the week-long Nicosia Beer Festival represents the rich culture to be found in the island’s capital on holidays to Cyprus. Sip over 50 different types of imported and locally-produced beer while some of Cyprus’ best artists and performers grace the stage, plus it’s not just for adults as an exciting fun fair keeps younger visitors to Nicosia Beer Festival entertained.

If you fancy taking a holiday to Cyprus for one of these great events, check out companies like Jet2holidays who offer package deals to Cyprus from as low as £229 per person. What’s more, it’s easy to book your Cyprus break in advance as each booking can be secured for as little as £60 – so there’s no excuse to miss out on a celebration of beer in the sun.
